Change Schools  - A New Direction/Creative Partnerships teacher mentoring project

A team of artist practitioners was paired up with year nine teachers across the curriculum. The aim was to give teachers space to develop new creative approaches to teaching. In food technology the class was learning how to make pastry. Our creative curriculum design included supporting the pupils to devise and make visual flow charts for making jam tarts and a quiz to check learning. The young people also looked at  Gardiner’s eight intelligences and identified their own learning styles and devised new ways to evaluate their learning during the lessons.
